CT School Employee Fired After Using Funds For 'Personal Benefit'

A Region 8 School District employee was terminated following allegations that they misused district funds, according to a report.

HEBRON, CT — A RHAM (Region 8) school district employee has been fired for using district funds for their own benefit, FOX 61 reported.

Superintendent Colin McNamara informed the district community of the firing in an Aug. 22 letter.

McNamara said the employee was in charge of ordering materials and supplies and appeared to be using those funds for their own benefit, according to FOX 61.

Following an internal investigation, the employee was fired.

Police are now investigating.
