CT Unemployment Filing System Restore

The department's unemployment system went down Sunday and was restored later Monday.

CONNECTICUT —The state Department of Labor's unemployment filing system went offline Sunday and partway into Monday. People will have until Friday July 24 to file claims for the week ending July 18.

DOL reported the technical issues were resolved Monday afternoon.

The state has received more than 708,000 unemployment applications since the pandemic began; of that more than 685,000 have been processed. The department's backlog now dates back to June 30.

Connecticut has paid out $1.35 billion in unemployment benefits and $2.46 billion in federal benefits since the pandemic began.
