Rain, Storms Forecast On Monday, Tuesday In CT: Here Are The New Updates

The National Weather Service said a thunderstorm is possible in Connecticut. Here are the latest details on the weather forecast.

CONNECTICUT — The state will continue to see periods of rain into Monday afternoon and there is a chance of a thunderstorm on Monday too, according to the National Weather Service.

Up to an inch of rain could fall before the precipitation tapers off Monday afternoon. There is also a chance for more rain showers on Tuesday, and mostly cloudy conditions are forecast on Wednesday.

The forecast takes a turn for the better on Thursday as nothing but sunshine and near 60 degrees temperatures are forecast from Thursday through next Sunday. Not bad for the end of October.

Here are the forecast details for southern Connecticut via the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Periods of rain before 11pm, then rain or drizzle between 11pm and 2am, then showers after 2am. Low around 52. Northeast wind 11 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 2pm, then areas of drizzle after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog after 2pm. High near 64. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Northeast wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11am, then a chance of showers between 11am and noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 62. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, mainly before 9am. Patchy fog between 7am and 8am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers, mainly between 8am and 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
