CONNECTICUT — Our next storm arrives later on Thursday and continues through Friday midday and like most of the storms this winter, this one is also a rain/wind combination.

There is no chance for snow, as temperatures will soar into the 60s on Thursday and remain warm through Friday morning. And then the temperatures will plummet into the 20s by Friday night. Winds could gust up to 30 mph on Friday.

"While the day starts dry, expect scattered showers toward and after the evening commute," the WFSB 3 TV meteorologists wrote. "However, before any rain begins, temperatures likely reach or exceed the 60-degree mark, feeling more like late-April!

"...Tomorrow, a cold front pushes through during the morning, providing another (more substantial) round of rain. It’s during this timeframe the wind will be strongest, gusting at times over 30 mph. Initially, it will be mild, with temps in the 50s. Behind the front, clearing gets underway and the wind switches to the west and northwest, sending cooler air in our direction. Because of this, temps trend downward as the day progresses. By sunset, temps will go from the 40s into the 30s. Fortunately, by the time temps go below freezing, we will have dried out… so there’s no concern for a flash freeze." (Watch the full WFSB 3 TV weather forecast here).
