Timeline For Strong-To-Severe Thunderstorms Released In CT: Here's What To Know
Forecasters shared a timeline for when Connecticut may see strong-to-severe thunderstorms on Friday.
Strong-to-severe thunderstorms are possible late Friday afternoon and evening across Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
"There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and this evening. Storms could produce damaging wind gusts," the weather service said concerning southern Connecticut.
WFSB 3 TV meteorologists say storms are possible across the state, especially during the evening hours.

"We also are watching the chance for an isolated storm this evening after about 6pm," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Not all towns will see a storm move through, but if you do, they have the possibility to be strong or even severe with gusty wind, lightning, and downpours."
More storms are possible on July 4 during the afternoon and evening hours. "Some are expected to be strong to severe," WFSB 3 TV said.

"Sunday, on the other hand, is going to be an improvement! Temperatures will be more seasonable (mid and upper 80s) with less humidity. Also, the risk for showers is lower... rain may hold off until after sunset," WFSB 3 TV said.
The excessive heat continues for a couple more days
Once again it will feel like 100 to 110 degrees Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday will be slightly cooler as it will feel like 95 to 100 degrees, forecasters said. And by Sunday, temperatures are back into the 80s.
Next week looks unsettled
"There is a higher risk for scattered storms Monday with a cold front in the region. Provided this, the stretch of hot and humid weather will break as we start the new work week. While still muggy, we’re forecasting highs in the 80s, as opposed to the 90s. Showers will linger into Tuesday," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
