More details on the potential thunderstorms

The farther west you are in Connecticut, the greater the chance for severe thunderstorms, the weather service said. The chance for thunderstorms ends by 11 p.m., the weather service said. It's possible that areas that see a strong-to-severe storm could see an inch of rain quickly.

WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, "Pay attention this afternoon as there could be a severe thunderstorm watch between 4 and 8 PM. Some of these thunderstorms could have a strong wind gust! All of this clears out for an awesome Friday! Sun and 60s! Showers return later Saturday and it does look on the chilly side for Easter Sunday. Dry for morning activities but there could be a sprinkle or shower in the afternoon."
