CT's Weather Takes A Turn For The Worse: New Details

Hopefully, you didn't get too used to today's gorgeous spring weather in Connecticut. Conditions will change quickly on Sunday.

Connecticut saw temperatures in the 60s to near 70 degrees Saturday with moments of sunshine that hopefully signaled that better weather days are ahead of us. But sadly, that is not the case as rain arrives Sunday morning for Connecticut and temps will fall quickly on Sunday afternoon.

Connecticut could be looking at a half inch of rain or more mainly in the morning and the afternoon hours. Once the rain ends by Sunday evening, temps will be near the freezing mark Sunday night and Monday and Tuesday look chilly with high temps only in the upper 40s.

"The frontal system will move through the Tri-state area on Sunday, with a band of rain showers moving from west to east in the morning and afternoon hours. Breezy conditions are likely ahead of the front Sunday morning, with seasonable highs in the 50s region-wide. Dry conditions return Sunday night as the cold front pushes offshore late in the day, with breezy and chilly conditions in its wake late Sunday into Sunday Night. Below normal temperatures return for Monday and Tuesday. Conditions will remain dry with high pressure in control."
