Deadline Looming For Sports Media Scholarship Applications

A $3,000 scholarship will be awarded in memory of the late Bo Kolinsky, a longtime high school sports editor at the Hartford Courant.

Online applications are being accepted through Friday, Feb. 22 at midnight for the Bohdan Kolinsky Memorial Scholarship For Sports Journalism, offered to high school seniors planning to study sports media in college.

The Connecticut Sports Writers' Alliance (CSWA) awards a one-time $3,000 scholarship to a high school senior from Connecticut who has been admitted to an accredited four-year college for study leading to a career in sports journalism (print, TV, digital).

The scholarship honors the memory of Bohdan Kolinsky, longtime high school sports editor of the Hartford Courant, who died in 2003 at the age of 49.
