Dirt Bike Rider Hospitalized Following Crash, Police Say

PLAINFIELD, CT — A dirt bike rider was hospitalized following an accident Sunday, according to police.

A 911 caller reported the accident at Rawson Materials at 136 Black Hill Road in Plainfield at 12:10 p.m.

Emergency crews had to cut the lock on a secured gate to enter the property and help the injured person.

A 34-year-old Moosup resident was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Backus Hospital.

There were four other riders who were along with the injured person. They found him at the top of a 17-foot-high ledge.

Police contacted representatives for Rawson Materials, who confirmed that no one had given permission to enter their property due to safety concerns. There are private property and no trespassing signs posted, police said.
