Driver Seriously Injured When Car Strikes Occupied CT Nail Salon
A driver was seriously injured when she drove through an occupied nail salon in Torrington on Wednesday, according to reports.

TORRINGTON, CT — A driver was seriously injured when she crashed into an occupied salon Wednesday afternoon, NBC CT reported. The accident occurred at H & Company on Route 202 / New Litchfield Street in Torrington at 3:15 p.m.
The car was traveling south on Litchfield Street when it drove through the intersection and hit the left side of the salon. The car went through the building and stopped in the rear parking lot, according to NBC CT.
A client and customer were inside at the time of the crash but were not injured.

The building sustained heavy damage but was deemed structurally safe, WTNH News-8 reported.
The driver, a woman in her 70s, was initially taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital before being flown by Life Star to Hartford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The Torrington Police Department's Accident Investigation Team is investigating the accident, according to WTNH News-8.
