Final Year-End Connecticut High School Football Rankings Released

CONNECTICUT — After a busy Saturday featuring a half-dozen football championship games, members of the Connecticut sports media voted on the top scholastic teams of the season.

Staples, which edged West Haven 21-20 in a thrilling Class LL contest at Central Connecticut State University, collected 21 first-place votes to top the balloting. Class L champion New Canaan earned three top votes to finish second, while Class MM titleholder North Haven received the other two first-place votes to wind up third.

Here are the top 10, plus all other programs receiving support.
