CONNECTICUT — There's something for all ages entertainment-wise this weekend in Connecticut, especially for foodies.
On Friday, Jan. 23, at the Earth Expo & Convention Center at Mohegan Sun Resort Casino, the Sun Wine & Food Fest. The event began on Thursday and runs through Jan. 25. "Be among the first to explore the bold flavors and standout selections of Sun Wine & Food Fest. Grand Tasting Day One offers early access to a curated collection of wines, craft beer, and premium spirits—paired with inspired bites from top regional restaurants.*"

Also on Friday, a 90s Dance Party at The Warehouse in Fairfield. "Planning on staying inside this winter? Ugh, as if! On Saturday at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, "On Democracy and the Future of the Parties," featuring former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and political commentator Jonah Goldberg. "Don’t miss this timely conversation between Secretary Pete Buttigieg and political commentator Jonah Goldberg – exploring the state of American political leadership, the erosion – and potential rebuilding – of trust in government, and the future of the political parties."

Also on Saturday, Josh Ritter performs at the Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk. "Ritter is a renowned singer, songwriter, musician, artist and best-selling author. One of today’s most thoughtful and prolific voices, he has released eleven studio albums including 2019’s widely acclaimed, Fever Breaks, of which NPR Music praised, 'He remains a hydrant of ideas while embodying an endless capacity for empathy and indignation, often within a single song.'"
Mystery lovers may enjoy "Cunningham Heirs & Hazards: A Murder Mystery Dinner" at the Lyman Homestead Saturday night in Middlefield. (the mystery returns on Feb. 7 and Feb. 21) "It’s Sleuthing Season at Lyman Orchards! In Norwalk, through Feb. 4, "Bulls of Wall Street" at Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum. "This exhibition will explore the financial world of LeGrand Lockwood, one of America’s first millionaires and a Treasurer of the NY Stock Exchange, and his more renowned peers—Vanderbilt, Gould, and Fisk. This program will also investigate those who tried to break Wall Street’s “glass ceiling” in 19th-century America."
