Former NY TV News Reporter Joins News 12 Connecticut
Alexa Farrell was a reporter at the station's Bronx affiliate for the past three years.
CONNECTICUT — Television news reporter Alexa Farrell, a Connecticut native who graduated from Quinnipiac University, is returning to home state station, News 12 Connecticut, after three years at News 12 Bronx in New York.
She took to Twitter to announce the news. "I am thrilled to get the chance to tell stories in my home state alongside incredibly talented journalists."
Farrell was at News 12 Connecticut for a year between 2018 and 2019 before joining the Bronx affiliate.

"NYC will always hold a special place in my heart," she wrote. "Thank you - so bittersweet."
Before her stints at News 12, Farrell worked at The Next Street as a content coordinator, and as a morning news anchor at WVII/WFVX in Bangor, Maine.

At Quinnipiac, Farrell graduated with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, and the school congratulated her on the move back to Connecticut.
"The Bronx treated her well, but look who’s coming home!" officials wrote on Twittere. "@AlexaNFarrell (BAJ, '16) will join the @News12CT morning desk. Check her out on weekday mornings. Congratulations, Alexa. We continue to be so proud of you."
