GOP Hopefuls Stefanowski, Devlin Get Police Group's Endorsement
Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police announces its pick for governor, lieutenant governor.

The Republicans seeking the state government's top two elected offices announced Saturday morning they have received an endorsement from a statewide police organization.
Republican Connecticut gubernatorial hopeful Bob Stefanowski and State Rep. Laura Devlin, R-Fairfield, who is the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor accepted the endorsement of the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police.

“I am honored to accept the endorsement of the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. Governor Lamont signed into a law a broad-brush police reform bill that made it harder for good police officers to do their job protecting our communities," Stefanowski said.
"Crime is hurting communities across Connecticut, especially in our cities. Our local law enforcement has been subjected to physical assaults, and our state and local police departments are struggling to recruit new officers and keep good officers from retiring."

“I have been so grateful to represent my local law enforcement in the legislature and to receive their support over the years. To have the endorsement and support of the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police is humbling," Devlin said.
The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is an organization of sworn law enforcement officers in the United States.
It has a membership of over 325,000 members organized in 2100 local chapters (lodges), organized into local lodges, state lodges, and the national Grand Lodge.
