Grim Milestone: CT Surpasses More Than 100K Coronavirus Cases
"Crisis brings out the best in people," Gov. Lamont said, delivering the news CT had passed 100K COVID-19 cases on social media.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut's war with the coronavirus hit a grim milestone on Friday, as the Department of Public Health announced it had confirmed more than 100,000 cases since the start of the pandemic.
Seemingly undaunted, Gov. Ned Lamont took to social media to give a brief pep talk to the state's local heroes:
"I am so impressed by the people of CT," Lamont said in a video uploaded to Twitter. "Crisis brings out the best in people. When it comes to our essential workers, when it comes to our nurses, our cops, our daycare centers and teachers, all of you are standing up and making a difference.
