Growing Coffee Shop Chain Plans Multiple CT Stores: Report
A coffee chain that's made its imprint on the state in recent years intends to add several more locations.
GROTON, CT — 7 Brew has big plans for Connecticut, with five locations in the works across the state.
The Connecticut Scoop reported that the drive-thru coffee chain is working on stores in Waterbury, Middletown, New Milford, Groton, and Waterford.
The chain has opened other locations recently in Orange and North Haven with a total of six in the state. There are over 600 stores nationwide.

The menu prioritizes customization, claiming to have over 20,000 drink combinations, including coffees, teas, energy drinks, fizz sodas, chillers, and smoothies. Prices vary by location but lattes start around $4.
7 Brew has signed a lease for a property at 183 Chase Ave. in Waterbury. Construction is underway with the store slated to open in July, according to a commercial real estate listing.

Zoning officials have approved 7 Brew to open a store in New Milford at the site of a former bank. The spot is at 169 Danbury Road.
The Middletown store would be located at 733 Washington St. and 35 Boston Post Road. The small-format store would include two drive-thru lanes, according to The Hartford Business Journal.
The Groton location is planned for 731 Long Hill Road. However, there are no updates on when construction will begin and plans are subject to local approvals, The Connecticut Scoop reported.
In Waterford, town officials are hinting at a new location, but the franchise owner did not confirm the rumors.
