Half Of New Coronavirus Cases In Danbury Friday
Connecticut reported 87 new cases Friday and around half of those were from Danbury, according to the state Department of Health.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut saw another 87 positive coronavirus cases Friday out of more than 7,500 test results, but there is growing concern over a concentrated outbreak in Danbury. The state Department of Public Health has issued a Covid-19 alert for the city, Gov. Ned Lamont said.
Much of the outbreak seems to be related to domestic and international travel, Lamont said. The state is advising Danbury residents over the age of 60 or who have a chronic disease to stay home. Employers in the area should make sure their employees who have symptoms or have been exposed to someone infected with the virus stay home.
"We can limit spread of the virus if we all work together," Lamont said.
