Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Connecticut

The forecast is changing quickly as we begin this weekend in CT. Here is what you need to know.

CONNECTICUT — A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the entire state of Connecticut along with a frost advisory.

The frost advisory is in effect for southern Connecticut from 10 p.m. until 9 a.m. Sunday for southern Connecticut and from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday in northern parts of the state.

For the entire state of Connecticut, the weather service said, "Temperatures as low as 34 will result in frost formation...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered."

The heavy rains are ending from west to east this morning and it will be a nice fall weekend with temps near 60 degrees and plenty of sunshine.

"Clouds will be quickly clearing as high pressure builds in from the southwest, and a gusty northwest flow will be diminishing through the day. Afternoon highs will be around 60 across the area," the weather service said.

"High pressure builds overhead tonight. With clear skies and light winds temperatures will be falling to the mid 30s across a large portion of the region, and areas of frost will be likely. A frost
advisory is in effect this evening through early Sunday morning."

"Sunday will be warmer as the high moves to the north and winds shift around to the south. Sunshine will be filtered through high thin cloudiness. Highs will be in the lower to mid 60s."

As you can see below, the extended forecast calls for nothing but sunshine next week and warmer temps with highs in the upper 60s most days. Have a great weekend!
