According to the authors at Niche.com, the number one place to buy a house in Connecticut is in Weatogue, which is a villege in Simsbury.

And No. 2 on the list is West Simsbury. Clearly, the authors are big fans of Simsbury.

Much of the top 10 is located in Hartford County.

According to the authors, the list was compiled based on "home values, property taxes, home ownership rates, housing costs, and real estate trends. Ranking based on data from the U.S. Census, FBI, and other data sources."

It goes on to say, "This grade takes into account key factors of a location’s housing market, including home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools, in an attempt to measure the quality and stability of an area’s real estate market."
