High School Football Playoff Games Scheduled For Tuesday

CONNECTICUT — The Connecticut high school football regular season has come to an end, but 32 programs statewide still carry the hope of winning a state championship. Eight teams in each division will compete Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. for the right to advance to the semifinals.

Just three teams are undefeated entering the postseason: Bloomfield (10-0), Cromwell/Portland (10-0) and Killingly (9-0).

Here are the first-round matchups in each class. Games are played at the higher-seeded school, unless otherwise indicated. Click the class headers for full brackets, rosters and rankings.

CLASS LL

• No. 8 Greenwich (7-3) at No. 1 Fairfield Prep (9-1) (at Fairfield University)
• No. 7 Southington (8-2) at No. 2 New Canaan (9-1)
• No. 6 Hamden (8-2) at No. 3 Darien (9-1)
• No. 5 Shelton (8-2) at No. 4 Hall (9-1)

CLASS L

• No. 8 Daniel Hand (7-3) at No. 1 St. Joseph (9-1) (at Kennedy Stadium)
• No. 7 Masuk (8-2) at No. 2 Naugatuck (9-1)
• No. 6 Bristol Central (9-1) at No. 3 Maloney (9-1) (at Falcon Field)
• No. 5 Windsor (9-1) at No. 4 Cheney Tech (9-1)

CLASS M

• No. 8 Gilbert co-op (6-2) at No. 1 Killingly (9-0)
• No. 7 Ellington (7-3) at No. 2 Rockville (8-2)
• No. 6 Torrington (7-3) at No. 3 Granby/Canton (7-3)
• No. 5 Branford (8-2) at No. 4 Avon (7-2)

CLASS S

• No. 8 Morgan (8-2) at No. 1 Bloomfield (10-0)
• No. 7 Notre Dame-Fairfield (7-2) at No. 2 Cromwell/Portland (10-0) (at Pierson Park)
