History Set At CIAC State Open Girls Swimming Championships
Ridgefield won its first-ever State Open crown, and three new Open records were set in individual events.

NEW HAVEN, CT — On Wednesday, Ridgefield High School broke the 43-yar dominance of Greenwich and Cheshire in the sate's highest girls swimming classification. The Tigers made more history Sunday, capturing the school's first State Open title at the Yale University pool.
Ridgefield compiled 478 points to easily outdistance runner-up Darien, which had 388.5. Cheshire (342) was third. An asterisk (*) indicates a new State Open record.
