Connecticut saw multiple winter storms over the course of the season, with several systems bringing plowable snow and periods of hazardous travel. Rather than a single major storm, snowfall totals were driven by a series of events throughout December, January and February.
Totals varied by location, with some areas seeing higher amounts than others over the course of the season depending on factors such as storm track, temperature and elevation.

Thirty-year snowfall averages also vary across Connecticut.
At Bradley International Airport, a key long-term weather station, seasonal snowfall typically averages around 40 inches. Along the coast, areas near Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Bridgeport generally see lower averages, around 20 to 30 inches. Inland northwest locations such as Norfolk 2 SW weather station often record higher typical snowfall, around 50 inches.
Snowfall totals in the map reflect accumulation during the winter season and do not include snow depth.
Because totals are based on individual weather stations, snowfall amounts may vary within each town and should be viewed as representative rather than exact town-wide totals.
