Initial Connecticut High School Wrestling Poll Of 2023 Released

CONNECTICUT — A new face may be in charge, but the most successful high school wrestling program in Connecticut history is back in its accustomed spot atop the initial poll of coaches and sports media members.

Mike Silvester, who took over at Danbury rom the legendary Ricky Shook prior to this season, has guided the Hatters to an undefeated start and back into the top position of the poll. Xavier placed second.

Here are the top 10, with first-place votes in parentheses, as well as all other teams earning support.
