'Kids in Action' Daycare Center Moves to Bigger Digs

NEW MILFORD, CT -- On May 14, New Milford's Kids In Action child care center moved from 15 Executive Center Drive to 215 Pickett District Road in New Milford. The school is owned and operated by Jen Benedict. The new facility allows Benedict to continue to grow her business, which is nearly at capacity currently. KIA currently serves 94 students daily and employs 22 teachers. The classrooms in the new space are larger and the property is bigger as well, sitting on 3 acres of land.

Prior to opening Kids In Action, Benedict worked at Top Flight Sports Center (Now called the Children’s Movement Center) for 16 years, also located in New Milford.

“We’re thrilled to officially be in our new facility. It’s been a long labor of love, but it’s come together wonderfully and we’re all every excited,” explains Jen Benedict.

KIA is also a family affair: Benedict’s mother handles payroll and her father does maintenance. Her 4 year old daughter also attends the school.
