CT Coronavirus Infection Rate Still Below 1 Percent
Aside from Danbury, which has a 7 percent coronavirus rate, the rate in most Connecticut communities remained below 1 percent.

CONNECTICUT — The state Department of Public Health reported an additional 29 coronavirus cases since Friday, Gov. Ned Lamont said Tuesday. Since the pandemic began there have been 52,040 reported cases across the state.
At a news conference in Danbury earlier in the day, Lamont said that with very few exceptions, the COVID-19 infection rate in communities throughout the state remained below 1 percent.
Danbury is the most prominent exception and Lamont issued a COVID-19 advisory for the city on Friday when its rate of confirmed cases reached 7 percent. The uptick in cases delayed the reopening of public schools and local colleges in the city. A boat launch that officials said was being used to launch large gatherings was also closed.
