Lamont Mandates Coronavirus Reports From Assisted Living Homes
Gov. Lamont's new order requires daily coronavirus reports from assisted living and nursing homes and establishes fines for noncompliance.
CONNECTICUT — Gov. Ned Lamont signed his 32nd executive order that will mandate assisted living facilities to report coronavirus cases and other related data to the state.
Lamont’s previous executive order required reporting by nursing homes. The new order builds on that to include assisted living and all managed residential communities that use the Connecticut Hospital and Long-Term Care Mutual Aid Plan.
The order now requires daily status reports from nursing homes as well who are using the Connecticut Hospital and Long-Term Care Mutual Aid Plan as well. Nursing homes and assisted living facilities that fail to comply are subject to $5,000 penalties per violation.

Lamont’s order also waives certain Medicaid prior authorization requirements and bed reservation requirements for residents who are on leave from intermediate care facilities.
Another part of the order waives certain requirements for physical signed delivery of medical equipment, devices and supplies.
