Lots To Do For Valentine's Day This Weekend In CT

Saturday is Valentine's Day, so here are some fun things to do in Connecticut this weekend, whether you have a significant other or not.

Kicking us off on Friday are a couple of events for the singletons out there. At Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Middletown, there's a Valentine's Day Dance Class & Party. Both singles and couples are welcome. "Join us at Fred Astaire Middletown for a Valentine’s Dance Party designed to be social, relaxed, and welcoming for everyone."

Also on Friday, celebrate Galentine's Day with a comedy show at Gastropark in West Hartford. "This special comedy showcase features a lineup of hilarious female comedians who have performed at clubs and festivals across the country, delivering sharp, relatable, and unapologetically funny stand-up. Grab your girlfriends, enjoy fun drink specials, and vibe to Britney Spears and other iconic throwback hits playing throughout the night."

On Saturday, Elicit Brewing Co. in Fairfield is hosting a Valentine's Day Singles Party. "This isn’t just a singles party... It's a real opportunity to make real connections. Attendees have the opportunity to be seen in a real-world setting, allowing for a more natural understanding of chemistry and alignment — both within the room and for potential future curated introductions."

At the Lyman Orchards Apple Barrel Farm Market in Middlefield, there's a Valentine's Day Party, also on Saturday. "Feel the love at The Apple Barrel Farm Market and celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th from 10 AM - 4 PM! Decorate your own Valentine's Day cake (advance tickets required), treat yourself to free sweet treat tastings, and get crafty at a Valentine's Day card-making station."

On Saturday at Bristol's Fork+Band Slingshot, it's a Valentine's Date night. "This Valentine's Day - Play together in the nation's premier indoor, themed slingshot shooting gallery in downtown Bristol, CT! We've created 2 special sessions (for couples-only) in our one-of-a-kind slingshot gallery and retail SlingShop, complete with V-Day-themed target posters and a special treat for 2!"

Also on Saturday, the Village Center for the Arts in New Milford is hosting Dirty Date Night (also on March 14 and April 11). "Grab someone special and come get dirty....with clay! You choose the date. This is a two-day course where you will throw one piece of pottery on the wheel, & trim the base during the second visit."

At Parkville Market in Hartford, it's a Valentine's Day Comedy Show with Chanel Ali. "Chanel Ali is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor known for her sharp wit and fearless point of view. She hosted the Food Network digital series Food Debate! and was a cast member on MTV’s Girl Code."

And on Sunday at Bridgeport's Foolproof Brewing Company, it's Skateport. "Join us for our Valentine's Day weekend skate session at Foolproof Brewing Company!Bring the whole family from 12:00-4:00pm on Sunday, February 15th and enjoy an afternoon of skating, spectating, dancing, and more!"
