Masked Robbers Invade Plainville Home: PD

A handgun was displayed during the robbery, according to police.

PLAINVILLE, CT — Two masked intruders forced their way into a Whiting Street home Wednesday afternoon and robbed the occupants at gunpoint, according to police.

The home invasion happened around 1:08 p.m. Wednesday at a single-family residence.

Police said at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and displayed it during the robbery. The intruders stole the residents’ cell phones and wallets, according to police.

No shots were fired, and no one was injured, police said.

Police said they believe it was not a random attack, and the residence was targeted.

The two suspects, who were dressed in black, fled southbound toward Southington in a silver sedan, police said. The getaway vehicle was occupied by at least one other suspect who drove it away from the scene, according to police.
