McDonald's Offering Up More Than 1,800 Jobs In Connecticut

CONNECTICUT — A total of 1,814 jobs are being offered at McDonald's restaurants across Connecticut, according to a recruiting announcement this week by chain officials.

The rich is "flexible scheduling with a side of building your future to advancement opportunities with a side of serving the community."

Part- and full-time jobs are on the slate, officials said.

"McDonald’s has a position to meet any candidate's needs and the foundation to help drive long-term success, whether that's with McDonald’s or elsewhere," officials said. "McDonald’s restaurants serve up brighter futures for restaurant workers every day.

Officials for the pst food chain said a recent study conducted in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges found that "those who had a first job at McDonald's were more likely to report feeling a sense of financial security and more likely to have a feeling of job satisfaction today."

Additionally, the survey also found that "the skills taught at a job with McDonald’s, like responsibility, teamwork and responsiveness are critical to future employment success."

Eighty-eight percent of survey respondents whose first job was at McDonald's said they learned how towork as part of a team, compared to 74 percent of Americans overall. Fifty-seven percent said they were taught how to provide customer service very well, compared to less than half of Americans overall.C

McDonald's officials said crew members can also take advantage of education benefits and earn a high school diploma, take ESL classes, get tuition assistance and receive free guidance from advisors through Archways to Opportunity, McDonald's education and career advising program at participating restaurants.
