Megyn Kelly Says She Wants To Take Sen. Chris Murphy's Job
Kelly issued a response to Murphy's post saying he took to the Senate floor and "told the real story of transgender kids and sports."

CONNECTICUT — Megyn Kelly, the journalist, television personality, and Connecticut resident known for her work on Fox News, wants to run for office to dethrone Senator Chris Murphy.
Kelly, who holds mostly conservative political views, made the claim in response to a video Murphy shared on X Tuesday evening in which he appears on the Senate floor to "block a Republican resolution that sought to make out transgender kids as a threat to this nation."
Alongside a video clip from his appearance, Murphy wrote that he "told the real story of transgender kids and sports, and the shameful Republicans efforts to bully and marginalize them."

On Thursday, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn took to the senate floor to pass a resolution to recognize Oct. 1o as "American Girls in Sports Day." Murphy called it "another Republican bill to marginalize and shame gay and transgender children."
"She can only pass it if no one objects," Murphy wrote Tuesday. "I'm going to floor to object."
Murphy, also a lawyer and author, has served as the junior United States senator from Connecticut since 2013. He is running for a third term in 2024 as the Democratic nominee.
Kelly, who has lived in Greenwich since 2020, has put her work on Fox and NBC News behind her. She now hosts a talk show and podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, on SiriusXM.
