CT Coronavirus Cases Continue Drastic Drop

As Connecticut grows close to reopening 95 percent of its economy, fewer than 100 new coronavirus cases were reported.

CONNECTICUT — Tuesday's coronavirus numbers in Connecticut were promising as net hospitalizations dropped below 300 and fewer than 100 new cases were reported — which hasn’t happened since the early days of the pandemic.

There were 87 positive cases out of 4,658 tests performed, continuing the trend of a low positive test rate. Another 13 deaths were reported, bringing the state total to 4,097. Hospitalizations dropped by 31 patients to 293.

The number of coronavirus cases statewide is now 44,179.
