New Country's 4th Annual Stuff the MINI School Supply Drive for Hartford Students
Help New Country Pack a Mini Cooper With School Supplies for the First Day of Class in August

Hartford auto dealer New Country MINI Cooper of Hartford is continuing its support of local students with the 4th Annual “Stuff the MINI to the Max” charity campaign. From August 14th through August 27th, New Country MINI will accept donations of backpacks and school supplies for Hartford Public School children. Then on August 28th a caravan of MINI's will transport all of the donated supplies to the Hartford Public Schools’ Welcome Center to help kick off a wonderful new school year.
"Last year, we doubled the Stuff the MINI donation from 3 cars to 6 cars thanks to our partnerships with Staples and Channel 3,” said Sam Herman, Sales Manager for New Country MINI. “We hope to make this the most successful collection yet."
As a thank you and incentive to drop off a donation at the dealership, New Country will be handing out $500 off coupons for in-stock pre-owned MINI’s and $1000 off coupons for in-stock new MINI’s during the Stuff the MINI campaign. Additionally, food and refreshments will be provided at a special pre-owned event on August 19th and a new car sales event on August 26th.

To make donating even easier, Staples office supply stores are again serving as collection sites. MINI’s will be parked at Bishops Corner, 2550 Albany Avenue in West Hartford, Putnam Bridge Plaza 49 Putnam Blvd in Glastonbury, Berlin Turnpike in Newington and Tri-City Plaza in Vernon for shoppers to drop off supplies every weekend in August.
Channel 3 is also supporting the charity campaign by hosting a supply drive on Thursday, August 17th from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the station, located at 333 Capital Blvd in Rocky Hill.

“When all those MINI cars pulled up last year crammed with school supplies, we were overjoyed,” said Marta Bentham, Director of Family Services & Ombudsman of Hartford Public Schools’ Welcome Center. “Our schools are facing an extremely challenging budget year and we need assistance.”
New supplies such as backpacks, pens, pencils, erasers, big wide ruled notebooks, college ruled notebooks and pencil/ruler/sharpener kits will be collected at the New Country MINI showroom located at 236 Reverend Moody Overpass in Hartford and will then be loaded into a MINI Cooper that will be parked on the sales floor.
“We really want to provide as many Hartford children as possible with the tools they need for a successful school year,” adds Herman.
