New Year's DUI Checkpoints In CT Start Friday: Here's Where

State Police will have DUI checkpoints and patrols Dec. 28 through Jan. 2. Here are the locations and times.

HARTFORD, CT — State Police will be out in force Friday night through Jan. 2 for the extended New Year's holiday weekend. There will be DUI patrols and checkpoints throughout the state.

State Police ask all motorists to obey the speed limit, not drive distracted and to move over a lane for emergency responders.

Below are the DUI checkpoints and patrols for the extended holiday weekend:

Troop A
  • Dec. 30 – 1900-0300 hours – DUI Sobriety Checkpoint – Route 67 and intersection of Mountain Road, Oxford
  • Dec. 27-Jan. 2 - 1900-0400 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols from greater Waterbury area to greater Danbury area.

Troop C

  • Dec. 29 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop C towns.
  • Dec. 31 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop C towns.
Troop D
  • Dec. 28 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop D towns.
  • Dec. 30 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop D towns.
  • Spot Check: Dec. 29, 2018, from 1900 to Dec. 30, 2018, at 0400 hours at Route 44 in East Putnam, in the vicinity of Route 21.
Troop E
  • Dec. 29 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop E towns.
  • Dec. 31 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop E towns.
Troop F
  • Dec. 28 – 1900-0300 hours - DUI Sobriety Checkpoint – Route 66 between Jackson hill Road and Peters Lane, Middlefield.
  • Dec. 29 - Roving DUI enforcement patrols – Interstate 95 and Route 9.
  • Dec. 30- Roving DUI enforcement patrols – Interstate 95 and Route 9.
Troop I
  • December 28 – Between 2000-0400 hours – Interstate 691 in Meriden area near Interstate 91.
Troop K
  • Dec. 28 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop K towns.
  • Jan. 1 - 1900-0300 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on highways & rural roads in Troop K towns.
Troop L
  • Dec. 30 - 1900-0400 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on Routes 4, 6, 7, 8, 45, 47, 61, 63, 64, 72, 109, 132, 202, 254, 341.
  • Jan. 2 - 1900-0400 hours – Roving DUI enforcement patrols on Routes 4, 6, 7, 8, 45, 47, 61, 63, 64, 72, 109, 132, 202, 254, 341.
