North Canaan Man Left Fecal Matter In Town Hall: Police
A man apparently angry over parking tickets left fecal matter under an office door at town hall, state police said.

NORTH CANAAN, CT — A man who was apparently angry about parking tickets left fecal matter underneath an office door at North Canaan Town Hall, according to state police. Christopher Jordano, 40, of North Canaan, was charged with first-degree breach of peace, first-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Jordano came into town hall on the afternoon of July 27 and left fecal matter on what appeared to be a piece under the door to the North Canaan Resident Trooper's Office, according to an arrest warrant.
Due to the risk of transmission of disease via blood-borne pathogens and the smell, town hall was evacuated for the remainder of the day. Environmental Services of South Windsor responded the next day to deal with the biohazard clean-up.

Police later discovered that the white papers used in the incident were envelopes issued by Connecticut State Police but did not have infractions inside them.
Three days before the incident, Jordano received six parking violations from the state trooper's office "for his continued defiance of parking vehicles on Barlow Street, which is in violation of clearly marked 'no parking' signage," according to the arrest warrant.

A statement in the arrest warrant from North Canaan First Selectman Charles Perotti noted that Jordano is "the subject to constant and continuous complaints." Most of these have to do with Jordano parking his cars in areas that cause hazards for drivers, illegal burning at his property, and the blighted condition of his property.
Jordano was held on $50,000 cash/surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Torrington Superior Court on Thursday.
