This Facebook Live event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 10th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. It will conclude with a live Q&A: listeners are encouraged to participate by submitting comments and questions on Facebook chat throughout the event.
Entitled, “Our Community, Our Voices: Enhancing Medical, Behavioral Health, and Housing Services for LGBTQ Youth,” next week’s event underscores the many factors necessary to reach equitable opportunities, good health – and healthy communities.

The discussion will advance the concept that arbitrary prejudice and discrimination, based upon gender identity, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, cultural background, language spoken, or religion, are social determinants that can adversely impact personal health, and must therefore be considered matters of public health.
A half-dozen panelists will share their perspectives on these issues as activists, practitioners, and advocates deeply concerned about health outcomes for members of the LGBTQ community.
Next week’s panel discussion will be held remotely; all those interested are invited to the live presentation at https://www.facebook.com/events/240486630960878. Viewers do not need a Facebook account to listen, watch, or participate.
