Our Next Snow Chance And Weekend Weather Update: CT Weather

Many people have a three-day holiday weekend and here's an updated look at what to expect from a weather standpoint.

Good news as we head into the weekend in Connecticut. At one point, we were expecting significant rain on Friday but that has changed and we're only going to see some sporadic rain showers. The weekend also looks dry and sunny too. Earlier this week it was thought that some light snow was possible Sunday night but now that looks to be off the table.

President's Day is also dry but mostly cloudy and our next snow chance appears to be late Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, though rain and sleet may mix in as well. That potential storm is too far away to accurately predict what might occur.

The National Weather Service says, "There could be a few showers Friday morning as the warm front passes to the north. Milder air follows the warm front with temperatures rising into the 50s. A cold front approaches late in the day with a continued chance of showers. The cold front moves east of the area Friday night dropping temperatures into the 20s inland and the low 30s near the coast. High pressure builds into the region on Saturday with dry condition and temperatures near seasonable levels."
