$1 Million Scratch Game Top Prize Claimed

A Rocky Hill man claimed the $1 million top prize in the CT Lottery’s $1,000,000 Gold scratch game. He says he purchased the ticket, scratched it, realized he won, calmly exited the store, and went to seek a financial adviser.

"If I didn’t win, I figured at least I’m doing my part to help the state," he joked.

The ticket was sold at Our Way Convenience Mart on Main Street in Rocky Hill. For selling the winning ticket, Our Way will receive a $10,000 bonus. The winner says he plans to use his winnings to pay off some outstanding debt.

$100,000 Powerball Prize Claimed

A West Haven couple claimed a $100,000 Powerball prize from the Sept. 6 drawing. The couple credited "intuition" for choosing the winning numbers and picking the right time to buy a ticket. The prize originally was $50,000, but because the pair purchased the Power Play add-on, it doubled to $100,000. The couple plans to use the money to pay off bills.

A Jumbo $100,000 Win In Jumbo Bucks

CT Lottery’s latest scratch game, Jumbo Bucks, has already awarded a prize of $100,000. The winner, a Norwalk man, said this is his first big win, while adding he hopes for many more in the future.

The ticket was purchased at In and Out Variety on Main Street in Norwalk. In and Out will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

$100,000 CA$HWORD Crowns Another Top Prize Winner

A Danbury man says he "thanked God" after discovering he won $100,000 playing CT Lottery's $100,000 Cashword scratch game. The man said he doesn't play often but decided to take a chance this time around. The ticket was purchased at J&R Shelter Shell on Old Shelter Rock Road in Danbury. J&R Shell will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Double $100,000 Cash5 Winners

A Guilford man plans to make home improvements after winning the Sept. 15 Cash5 drawing. His ticket was sold at Xpress Fuel on Boston Post Road in Guilford.

That win follows another $100,000 Cash5 winner from the previous day, when a Newtown woman claimed her Sept. 14 prize. That ticket was sold at Newtown Convenience Store on Church Hill Road in Newtown.
