Popular CT Deli, Food Truck To Close; New Concept On The Way

The eatery will close after more than three years in business. The spot will become home to a new concept.

BURLINGTON, CT — A deli and food truck will be closing next week after more than three years in business, according to a Facebook post from the eatery.

I Know a Guy Deli & Food Truck will officially close its 280 Spielman Highway Unit E location in Burlington next week.

"Well… after 3.5 years of slinging sandwiches, wrangling food trucks, and debating the correct amount of mayo (there isn’t one), I Know A Guy Deli & Food Truck will be closing on 8/11," the post reads.

"Thank you to everyone who supported us — you kept us busy, kept us laughing, and occasionally kept us guessing. We loved every minute."

The post goes on to thank the staff, landlords and neighbors.

The spot is known for serving up sandwiches, paninis, salads and more.

I Know a Guy Deli has a 4.5-star average rating on 122 Google reviews.

The space will become home to Geraldine's Social & Super, which is "an awesome concept," according to the deli's post.

"They’re fantastic humans, and we hope you give them the same love you gave us."
