Popular CT News Anchor Lands New Job In State

She says she is excited to be joining her hometown station.

CONNECTICUT — Veteran television news anchor Alexa Farrell, a Connecticut native who graduated from Quinnipiac University, recently moved from News 12 downstate to her hometown station of Fox61 in Hartford, she announced on Facebook.

"It is so surreal for me to be joining a team my family watched as I was growing up," Farrell wrote. The post was full of hundreds of congratulatory wishes from former colleagues and fans.

She began on Monday, and in addition to anchoring in the evenings, Farrell will also report from the field.
