Popular TV News Reporter/Anchor Leaves NBC Connecticut

She had been at the station for the past three years.

CONNECTICUT — Television news reporter and anchor Jane Caffrey recently announced that she has left NBC Connecticut, where she had been for the past three years.

"I cannot thank each and every one of you enough - my supportive team, those of you who have collaborated on amazing stories with me throughout the years, everyone who tunes in to the News at 7 each night," Caffrey wrote on Facebook.

She has already landed a new job, but she declined to say where, only alluding to another television market.

"While I’m moving to a new TV market, Connecticut will always hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you all so much for making the past three years so memorable," she said.

"I am extremely grateful to know all of you, and to have spent this time exploring beautiful New England."

Prior to her stint at NBC Connecticut, Caffrey was an evening news anchor for three years at WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, Virginia, and before that, was at KRIS-TV in Corpus Cristi, Texas, where she was a reporter and weekend anchor.

She also had a four-year stint at CNN, where she served as a producer.

Caffrey obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton College, and a Master of Arts in News and Documentary from New York University.
