CONNECTICUT — A popular Connecticut TV reporter has been promoted.
WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Roger Susanin will be moving indoors to a desk job at the station.
Susanin announced on Twitter that he will be anchoring the CBS affiliate's 4:30 a.m. show, and piloting WFSB's breaking news desk from 5-7:00 a.m.

Susanin joined Channel 3 Eyewitness News in 2015. Before moving to Connecticut, he spent time in newsrooms in Nashville, Little Rock, and Pennsylvania. His WFSB bio touts the awards he has won "for his breaking news coverage, investigative work, and his hair."
The newly-minted news anchor is from the Philadelphia area, but lives in Connecticut with his wife and daughter.

Stephanie Simoni, Susanin's wife, is also an anchor at the Rocky Hill-based TV studio. She handles breaking news from 4-6:30 p.m., and anchors the 7 p.m. news. Simoni tweeted that her husband's new schedule "works great for childcare."
