Previews of Upcoming CIAC State Championship Contests

NEW HAVEN-UNCASVILLE, CT —State championship time has arrived for high school basketball, ice hockey and swimming teams across Connecticut, as the CIAC tournaments wind down beginning Thursday.

The long championship weekend kicks off Thursday night at yale University, with both the boys swimming State Open and Div. III boys ice hockey finals taking place.

Championship games in boys and girls basketball are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Mohegan Sun Arena, while the Div. II and Div. 1 finals are slated for Yale on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
