CONNECTICUT — A revised timetable has been posted for David's Bridal employees in three Connecticut locations.

A revised federal Worker Adjustments and Retraining Notification was filed with the Connecticut Department of Labor last week for the stores in Manchester, Orange and Danbury. Though no specific layoff numbers were included in the WARN notice for the three stores, the time period was declared as Aug. 20 to Sept. 2.

The three stores represent the chain locations in Connecticut:

  • Manchester, at the Plaza at Burr Corners, 82-E Buckland St. and Tolland Turnpike
  • Danbury, at Danbury Square, 15 Backus Ave.
  • Orange, at 112-118 Boston Post Road

The process began in April when David's Bridal announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. David's Bridal announced it was to lay off just more than 900 workers chain-wide.

The WARN notices outline specific positions being trimmed nationwide, but do not match up any job with any particular store.

In a news release in April, David’s Bridal said both brick-and-mortar stores and online sales, including through its Pearl platform and vendor marketplace, will remain accessible to brides for their wedding planning needs. That's consistent with what the staff at the Manchester store said. No bride will be left behind, according to the staff.

The timetable affecting Connecticut had been posted in a previous WARN notice as between June 12 and Aug. 11.

According to the April WARN notice, the Connecticut stores could "potentially" close in conjunction with the layoff timetable.
