Severe Storm Potential Emerges In CT's Forecast: Here's When, What To Expect
Find out when potentially stormy weather will impact Connecticut, according to meteorologists.
Sunny skies, mild temperatures and dry conditions will prevail through mid-week in Connecticut, then thunderstorms are possible for Thursday, according to meteorologists.
The National Weather Service predicts today and Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with highs around 80 degrees for most of the state, and in the upper 70s toward the shore.
WFSB also reports dry, bright weather, coupled with low humidity, will prevail today and Wednesday.

There is a chance for a shower late on Wednesday, though “showers and thunderstorms (are) possible late Thursday,” the National Weather Service said.
Temperatures will hover in the low 80s on Thursday, and any thunderstorms are expected after 2 p.m. and into the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

“Thursday is muggier, also more unsettled with a higher chance for showers and perhaps storms,” WFSB reports. “We’ll be monitoring the potential if storms were to develop, they could become strong to severe.”
WTNH also predicts a few showers and thunderstorms will impact Connecticut on Thursday.
“Any rain is welcome, as parts of Connecticut continue to experience moderate drought conditions!” WTNH reports.

Friday, or Juneteenth, is looking dry and pleasant for those with the day off from work, with sunny skies and highs in the low 80s, according to the National Weather Service.
Here are the forecast details for northern Connecticut via the National Weather Service:
Today: Sunny, with a high near 79. West wind 3 to 6 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Light and variable wind.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 57. South wind 3 to 6 mph.
Thursday: Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. High near 83. South wind 7 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Thursday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. West wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Juneteenth: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. West wind 8 to 15 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. West wind 6 to 8 mph.
