Snow Accumulation Estimates Made For Holiday Storm: CT Weather

The National Weather Service has released initial snow accumulation estimates for an upcoming storm. Here are those latest projections.

One might call this a surprise snow as light snow is now expected Sunday night into Monday, which could produce some accumulation. And it's possible that the precipitation may end as a bit of ice once again.

This won't be a major snowstorm but a general one to three inches of snow is currently forecast for all of Connecticut, though some weather models show the potential for higher amounts, local meteorologists say. The weekend is largely drama free with sunshine today and a high near 40 degrees and a bit cooler on Sunday with temps in the mid 30s.

Snow won't move in until close to midnight Sunday and should taper off around noon Monday. The precipitation may end as a bit of rain as temps moderate.
