Some State Parks Closing To New Visitors Saturday [UPDATED]
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection closes parks to new visitors once the parking lot capacity has been reached.

CONNECTICUT — Storm damage and full parking lots have prompted the closure of several state parks to new visitors Saturday by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Those parks, with the times the closures were reported, are:
- Wadsworth Falls State Park, Middletown - storm damage - 8:25 a.m.
- Squantz Pond State Park, New Fairfield - parking lot capacity - 10:47 a.m.
- Gillette Castle, East Haddam - Gillette Castle State Park is currently open to the public until sunset, however ticket sales for tours of the Castle are sold out for the remainder of the day - 1:12 p.m.
