Spirit Halloween Chain Making A Big Move Into Connecticut

CONNECTICUT — Halloween stores opening already in Connecticut? Just ask the Spirit Halloween chain.

Spirit Halloween will be opening 13 Connecticut stores this year with openings either in August or "coming soon," according to the company's website.

Stores will be housed in various empty spaces, including a couple of former Pier One Imports stores, a Planet Fitness and a Dick's Sporting Goods.

The stores will be located in:

• Ansonia — Next to Marshalls, 465 East Main St.
• Bristol — at the Former Pier One, 594 Farmington Ave.
• Cromwell — Former Price Rite, 136 Berlin Road
• Enfield — at the Brookside Plaza, 34 Hazard Ave., at a Party City vacated about three years ago
• Killingly — Near Aldis, Harbor Freight, 730 Hartford Pike
• Lisbon — Former Dick's, 170 River Road
• Milford — at the former Joyce Leslie, 1393 Boston Post Road
• North Haven —at the former Rainbow, 79 Washington Ave.
• Plainville — at the Former Mattress Firm, 248 New Britain Ave.
• Southbury — at the Former Pier One, 775 Main Street South
• Torrington — at the former Eblens, 59 S Main St.
• Waterbury — next to Planet Fitness, 855 Lakewood Road
• Waterford — at the former H M, 850 Hartford Turnpike

The stores will offer the option to buy online and pick up at the Connecticut locations, officials said.
