Starling Physicians Hosts Open House at New Glastonbury Location

Medical Professionals and Politicians Are Invited to Ribbon Cutting and Tour

Starling Physicians is celebrating the grand opening of its new Glastonbury location with an official ribbon cutting ceremony in partnership with the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 14.

The ribbon cutting kicks off the event at 5:00pm. Medical providers throughout the community are invited to tour the facility, meet the Starling team, and learn about the wide range of services available at 289 Western Blvd. The open house will run from 5:00pm - 7:00pmand attendees will enjoy picnic treats at each specialty, dinner from a Pizza Truck, and coffee and dessert to complete the evening. The new Glastonbury location houses many Starling specialists who provide comprehensive care in the following areas: Allergy, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Rheumatology, Podiatry, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Physical Therapy, and Radiology. Internal medicine providers still see patients at 704 Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury.

“Our specialists are looking forward to meeting fellow members of the medical community and sharing all that our expanded practice has to offer,” said Dr. Jarrod Post, Chief Medical Officer of Starling Physicians. “We can now provide patients in the area with convenient access to a broader range of care.”

Dr. Post notes the 10,000+ square foot state-of-the-art facility houses many specialties that have had a presence in Glastonbury, as well as four Starling specialties that are new to the area:

  • Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine – Treat the whole spectrum of orthopaedic injuries and conditions using the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques. Podiatry services are also offered for diseases and injuries that affect the foot and ankle, as well as diabetic foot care.
  • Surgery – Perform general surgery, manage breast disease, provide oncology care, and perform vascular surgery including VNUS closure for varicose veins, and endovascular aneurysm repair.
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy – Diagnose and develop a physical rehabilitation plan to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability using the latest equipment in a large and bright treatment space.
  • Radiology – Provide walk-in x-rays of the upper extremities, lower extremities, chest, spine, abdomen, and pelvis/hip.

The office is conveniently located at 289 Western Blvd. off Route 2 and Hebron Avenue in the Gateway Medical Complex. There is free onsite parking and easy access to the facility.
