Multiple chemicals were left behind in a building by a deceased resident, officials said.
WINDHAM, CT — A clean-up effort is underway on Follett Road after a resident died and left behind potentially dangerous chemicals.
James Fowler, a spokesperson for the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, said its Emergency Response Unit has been working with the state police’s bomb squad and the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the property.
Officials are currently classifying and disposing of the chemicals, which were left in a building by the deceased resident, Fowler said.
