Summer Bridge Work to Snarl Traffic in Danbury

The work is set to begin mid- to late-summer

DANBURY, CT — Repair work on a couple of city bridges may have a big impact on your commute this summer.

The News-Times is reporting the Triangle Street bridge, just north of the DMV, will be shutting down for repairs in mid-to-late summer. The connector bridge linking the north end of the White Street shopping center parking lot to Crosby Street is set for repairs at the same time.

The Triangle Street job should not take more than a month, but three months are being allotted for the repairs near Crosby Street.

Plans call for a detour the detour on Triangle away from the bridge at Lee Mac Avenue toward the the DMV, and on Taylor Street northward toward the transformers. All traffic in and out of the White Street shopping center will be limited to its White Street driveway and the narrow exit onto Main Street for Webster Bank customers.
